The Rules

You should also be aware of the Killer Cage Convention.

All the digits 1 to 6 must appear in every row, column and 3 by 2 box. In each coloured block (or 'cage'), the target number in the small board above is calculated from the sum of th digits in all the cells in the block.

The difference between Killer and KenDoku is that the later uses the other arthetical operators as well as addition AND KenDoku allows duplicate numbers in the same cage.

Coordinate system: Letter/Number rYcX

Welcome to this 6x6 Killer Solver

New in version 2.31.1 (13th MAr 2025)
6x6 Killer Solver released
Separated from the 6x6 KenDoku solver.

Regards the packed strings for this solver I had a choice. I could have modified the Killer code to cope with 6x6 or I could just use the 6x6 KenDoku code which is already done and tested. So I chose the later. The solver needs to know it is a killer since the cage combinations are very different. So the puzzle prefix is 'L6C' not 'K6C' but otherwise packs the same.

Quick help: Using this Solver

You can pick examples from the list above. Click on Take Step to step through the solution. Unknown squares are filled with 'candidates' - possible solutions.
Any cells that are reduced to one possible candidate are solved.

You can enter a new Killer puzzle using the new 'designer' - click on "Enter new Killer". Once you fill in the clues and set up the cages correctly it can be solved.

Unlike the other solvers you can only edit the main board when solving. The small board only displays the clues.
